{"id":5920,"date":"2024-02-01T15:03:25","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T20:03:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fraternidadmedellin.org\/?post_type=eventos&#038;p=5920"},"modified":"2024-02-01T16:58:34","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T21:58:34","slug":"homenaje-a-la-vida-de-monsenor-armando-santamaria","status":"publish","type":"eventos","link":"https:\/\/fraternidadmedellin.org\/en\/eventos\/homenaje-a-la-vida-de-monsenor-armando-santamaria\/","title":{"rendered":"Tribute to the life of Monse\u00f1or Armando Santamar\u00eda.\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"5920\" class=\"elementor elementor-5920\" data-elementor-post-type=\"eventos\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-68a0623 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"68a0623\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;jet_parallax_layout_list&quot;:[]}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-35a520c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"35a520c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the ITM University Institution Cultural Center, a space donated to the city by the Fraternidad Medell\u00edn Foundation 16 years ago, on January 30 we had the great honor of celebrating the life, work, and legacy of Monse\u00f1or Armando Santamar\u00eda Ortiz, a man dedicated to serving the most vulnerable people.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a heartfelt concert by the Medell\u00edn Philharmonic Orchestra, enjoyed by senior church leaders, his family, friends, and hundreds of children who have benefited from his homes, we recognized the privilege of witnessing the life of service of a man who has dedicated his talent and will to the Church and to those who need a gesture of care and dignity.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The human quality and excellence of Monse\u00f1or\u2019s work have inspired Fraternidad Medell\u00edn to accompany and support his initiatives, with the confidence and certainty that every peso invested in his homes and students is a meaningful contribution toward making this world a better place to live. That is why, for many years, we have had the privilege of supporting some of his works, such as:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Granjas Infantiles Jes\u00fas Obrero, a beneficiary of our Foundation for 45 years; Bel\u00e9n Cardenal L\u00f3pez Trujillo Foster Homes, a beneficiary for 23 years; and one of the most emblematic, San Jos\u00e9 Children\u2019s Homes, a beneficiary for 29 years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Concluding the ceremony, Magdalena Restrepo Arango announced to Monse\u00f1or that, starting this year, the Monse\u00f1or Armando Santamar\u00eda Scholarships will be awarded to two young people who honor his work, his legacy, and his kindness to the world.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>En el Centro Cultural Instituci\u00f3n Universitaria ITM, espacio donado a la ciudad por la Fundaci\u00f3n Fraternidad Medell\u00edn hace ya 16 a\u00f1os, el pasado 30 de enero tuvimos el gran honor de celebrar la vida, obra y legado de Monse\u00f1or Armando Santamar\u00eda Ortiz.
