From her early years, Sara wanted to be a teacher. In every corner of her home, she would improvise classrooms, and there, her friends, family members, and even her stuffed animals would learn from her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was born in Andes but raised in Jard\u00edn, Antioquia, and she always loved studying. Perhaps because of this, she stood out as an excellent student at her school. At the age of 15, she began experiencing unusual symptoms in her body. After many tests and analyses, the diagnosis was clear: Sara was suffering from a rare disease called autoimmune muscular myopathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For a moment, her childhood dream of becoming a great teacher seemed to fade away, but her determination and resilience led her to keep working toward it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One day, she received an email from the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Antioquia informing her that admission exams were being held. Sara had always been interested in this university because of its expertise in Social Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the support of her family, she applied for a degree in Early Childhood Education and passed all the required exams. With her place at the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Antioquia secured, Sara and her family moved to Medell\u00edn, and she began her studies. However, financial conditions soon became difficult, and it was a professor at the university who told her about the Fraternidad Medell\u00edn scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sara did not hesitate for a moment. She looked for information, completed the entire application process, and was awarded the scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to her illness, some days at university were difficult. Many times, her muscles did not fully function as they should, but Sara kept attending classes with the help of her family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In March of this year, Sara received her degree as a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education. As part of her journey, she wrote the story \u201cIs It Perhaps a Monster? The Story of a Rare Disease\u201d<\/strong>, which was published and illustrated by one of her professors, Luis Fernando Herrera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Today, she hopes for a job opportunity where she can put into practice all her knowledge and the passion she has invested in her life, and she wishes for her book to reach many corners of the world. Because, as a proud ambassador of Fraternidad, Sara believes that \u201cwe are all born to be happy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
