{"id":6566,"date":"2024-09-13T10:10:33","date_gmt":"2024-09-13T15:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fraternidadmedellin.org\/?post_type=eventos&#038;p=6566"},"modified":"2024-09-13T10:59:07","modified_gmt":"2024-09-13T15:59:07","slug":"parque-educativo-cartama-un-encuentro-de-saberes","status":"publish","type":"eventos","link":"https:\/\/fraternidadmedellin.org\/en\/eventos\/parque-educativo-cartama-un-encuentro-de-saberes\/","title":{"rendered":"Cartama Educational Park, a meeting of knowledge\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">In 2013, the construction of the <strong>T\u00e1mesis Educational Park<\/strong> was carried out, one of four educational parks built in the region at that time, thanks to a partnership between <strong>Fraternidad Medell\u00edn<\/strong>, the <strong>Berta Mart\u00ednez Foundation<\/strong>, and the <strong>Government of Antioquia<\/strong>. The goal of this large-scale project was to connect all of Antioquia through <strong>education, science, technology, entrepreneurship, and culture<\/strong> within these parks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>Cartama<\/strong>, which means \u201criver of transparent waters,\u201d is the name chosen for this beautiful project. It refers to a region made up of 11 municipalities in Southwestern Antioquia. The park is set within an exuberant landscape, an Indigenous historical heritage, and a shared economic development shaped by the coffee industry. This is also the origin of the second part of its name: \u201ca meeting of knowledge.\u201d\n\nHere, different cultures and interests converge, along with children, young people, and adults with diverse learning needs and expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The building has two levels, where five educational classrooms were located, along with offices, reception, bathrooms, technical rooms (hydraulic and electrical), telecommunications, a waste room, storage, and a warehouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Currently, the educational park has agreements with <strong>IU Digital<\/strong>, <strong>Comfama<\/strong>, <strong>Censa<\/strong>, and <strong>Cedenorte<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>IU DIGITAL<\/strong>: It has the <em>Playroom (Aula del Juego)<\/em>, a space for co-creation, peacebuilding and citizenship, play, and active learning. Within the <em>Playroom<\/em>, the <em>English Club<\/em> strategy is developed, promoting collaborative English language learning. It also hosts <strong>Open Learning Environments (AAA)<\/strong> with students from educational institutions, in specific areas such as physics, mathematics, financial education, among others.\n\nIn the near future, a <strong>Digital Literacy<\/strong> course will be launched, aimed at adults who wish to acquire and strengthen their technological skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>COMFAMA<\/strong>: It offers activities such as the <em>Reading Point<\/em>, the <em>Children\u2019s Reading Club<\/em>, and the <em>Adult Reading Club<\/em>, as well as itinerant reading sessions with older adults, disability groups, educational institutions, and the general community of T\u00e1mesis, Palermo, and San Pablo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>CENSA<\/strong>: It currently offers extension programs such as <strong>Pharmacy Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Veterinary Assistant<\/strong>, and <strong>Occupational Health and Safety<\/strong>. Soon, the <strong>Technical Program in Administrative Procedures<\/strong> will also be launched.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>CEDENORTE<\/strong>: The programs currently in development include <strong>Software Design, English, Health Administration<\/strong>, and <strong>Administrative Processes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>Cartama, a meeting of knowledge<\/strong>, is a space filled with life that makes us deeply proud at <strong>Fraternidad Medell\u00edn<\/strong>.
