Learning from Others to Keep Transforming Together

Great transformations are not achieved alone. They emerge when people come together to share experiences, ask new questions, and discover that there is always more to learn. At Fundación Fraternidad Medellín, we believe in the value of listening to different voices, exploring diverse perspectives, and sharing the lessons we have learned throughout nearly seven decades of work in education and social development.

Over the past few weeks, we have participated in important national and international gatherings that have allowed us to strengthen relationships, explore new forms of collaboration, and broaden our understanding of the challenges facing education and philanthropy.

We attended Impact Minds 2026, Latimpacto's annual conference held in Manaus, Brazil; the United Nations General Assembly in New York; the Tikso Funding and Partnerships Roundtable; Deeper Learning Latam 2026; and the 13th Education Summit organized by Semana.

These gatherings provided valuable insights into the importance of developing collective solutions, listening to different perspectives, and working closely with communities. They reaffirmed the power of education to transform lives, the need to strengthen educational leadership, and the value of innovation, technology, and data in making better decisions and generating deeper, more sustainable social impact.

They also reminded us that meaningful transformations require partnerships, trust, and a continuous willingness to learn from others. Sharing experiences with organizations from different countries allowed us to discover new opportunities for cooperation, broaden our perspective on social challenges, and enrich our work. We returned with new ideas, meaningful connections, and a renewed conviction: continuing to learn, share knowledge, and join forces is essential to bringing more and better opportunities to our communities.

Many different gatherings, but one shared purpose: to learn, improve our work, and create more opportunities.

We remain connected to the world, firmly rooted in our communities, and convinced that we can always do more and do it better, together.
