For 60 years, the children and adolescents in our territory have had an “angel” looking after their health, well-being, and happiness. This is the Foundation for Child Care (FAN), a non-profit organization that provides support to children, adolescents, and their families living in economically and socially vulnerable conditions and extreme poverty. They do this through pedagogical programs, nutritional support, and psychosocial care, as well as by guiding adolescents in building life projects and supporting families to ensure caregivers have appropriate parenting practices.
In addition, they ensure the physical, nutritional, and emotional recovery of children and adolescents affected by nutritional issues such as obesity, overweight, chronic malnutrition, or acute malnutrition, so they can grow up healthy.
At FAN, they continuously generate social innovations, as well as programmatic and service lines that contribute not only to comprehensive care processes but also to intervening in school, community, social, and family environments. In this way, they play to heal, care to heal, and help build heroes, lives, and dreams.
At Fraternidad Medellín, we feel deep gratitude for their work and are very proud to have supported their efforts for the past 42 years. We wish them many more years of bringing happiness to the children and adolescents of our region.
We are #FANdeFAN.
