Two New Stories Join the 10 out of 10 Family

At Fundación Fraternidad Medellín, we believe that when talent is met with opportunity, it can go as far as the dreams that inspire it. That is why we are proud to announce the addition of two new athletes to the 10 out of 10 program, an initiative funded by Fundación Fraternidad Medellín, operated by Fundación Mariana Pajón, and supported by Fundación SURA and Fundación Sofía Pérez de Soto. The program supports promising young athletes with high-performance potential as they pursue their path toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

They are María Camila Maturana Rentería, a sprinter born in Carepa, Antioquia, and María Fernanda Mena Mosquera, a weightlifter from Apartadó. These two young women embody the dedication, discipline, and determination that define Colombia’s outstanding athletes.

María Camila has built an outstanding track and field career in the 100- and 200-meter sprint events. At just 19 years old, she has already represented Colombia in national and international championships, earning significant achievements in South American and Pan American competitions. Her recent national record in the women’s 100 meters and her potential to reach the highest levels of international athletics make her one of the most promising talents in Colombian sport.

Meanwhile, María Fernanda has demonstrated extraordinary strength and determination in weightlifting. At 21 years old, she has already earned national, Pan American, and South American titles, in addition to achieving notable results in World Youth Championships. Her discipline, consistency, and resilience have positioned her among the leading weightlifters on the continent.

With the addition of María Camila and María Fernanda, the 10 out of 10 program now includes eight athletes who have been selected for their talent, dedication, and potential to reach the highest levels of competition. At Fundación Fraternidad Medellín, we have the privilege of supporting them throughout their development journey, providing the resources and guidance they need to continue growing in their athletic careers and move ever closer to a remarkable goal: representing Colombia at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Beyond medals and competitive results, we believe in the power of sport to transform lives, inspire communities, and create pathways of hope for future generations. That is why we are excited to welcome these two young athletes, whose example reminds us that dreams can indeed be achieved when discipline, perseverance, and opportunity come together.
