Stefany Cuadrado rides her bike as if the world were waiting for her at the end of the track. Born 19 years ago in Caucasia, Antioquia, and raised in a hardworking family, she found in cycling not just a sport, but a path to achieve all her goals. Today, her name is making waves on tracks across Colombia and the world, and her dream is clear: to once again represent her country at the Olympic Games and bring home a medal on her chest.
From a young age, she knew that sports were her calling. She tried table tennis, soccer, and volleyball. But the bike showed her what she was truly made of. From her very first training sessions, her talent was undeniable. Her discipline, consistency, and mental strength led her to join the Antioquia Cycling League and begin a competitive journey that hasn’t stopped growing.
Beyond the stopwatch, what sets Stefany apart from many other athletes is her determination. She trains every day with unbreakable discipline, despite the difficulties, the lack of proper facilities, and the personal sacrifices. Her driving force is the conviction that representing Colombia at the Olympics is not just a personal goal, but a message of hope for hundreds of young people across the country who believe that big dreams are also possible.
“I want to make it to the Olympic Games because I know I have the talent, but above all, the desire. Racing isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am,” she says with the steady voice of someone who has already overcome many races, even off the track.
At the Fraternidad Medellín Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of sport, and today we proudly support Stefany. Because when a woman like her prepares to reach the top of the podium, she’s also raising the flags of equity, resilience, and the pride of a region like ours — a region that, despite adversity, never stops. A region where fraternity shines.
