10 out of 10: shaping athletes, transforming lives

Sport has the power to transform destinies, but also to shape character, strengthen values, and build role models capable of inspiring an entire generation. That is the spirit of the 10 out of 10 program—an initiative that goes beyond high performance to support athletes from Antioquia on their journey to Los Angeles 2028, while they are formed as citizens committed to their communities.

Eastern Antioquia was the setting where this extraordinary team officially kicked off its 2026 season. Over three days—January 16, 17, and 18—the municipality of Rionegro hosted a training camp that brought together athletes, coaches, and the program’s methodological and administrative teams to strengthen bonds, align purposes, and chart the competitive course of a decisive year, as qualification for the next Olympic Games begins.

More than a preparatory gathering, this camp was a space for holistic growth. The symbolic presentation of the new uniforms marked the start of a formative experience in which athletes took part in coaching and sports psychology workshops focused on determination, confidence, and resilience. They also received talks on goal planning, communication, self-care, and nutrition, along with collective identity sessions aimed at consolidating a true team spirit.

This approach recognizes that mental well-being is just as important as physical preparation, and that emotional tools are key to facing the challenges of elite competition.

The 10 out of 10 program, funded by Fraternidad Medellín and operated by the Fundación Mariana Pajón, supports these athletes in their Olympic dreams by fostering the qualities of true leaders: discipline, responsibility, empathy, and the ability to inspire by example both on and off the field of play. Because when a young person becomes a role model, their impact transcends tracks, pools, or velodromes and reaches their entire community.

For Fraternidad Medellín, supporting programs like 10 out of 10 means investing in life stories that inspire, in young people who understand leadership as service, and in a future where Antioquia’s talent continues to shine on the world stage.

Because every training session, every lesson learned, and every goal achieved brings us closer not only to the Olympic dream, but to something even more valuable: the formation of well-rounded human beings who will carry with them, wherever they go, the pride of representing their land and the commitment to pave the way for those who come after.
