AlfaTIC 360°: when rural communities connect with the future.

At Fraternidad Medellín, we believe that technology can open paths where there once was only distance. That is exactly what happened on October 22 and 23, during the AlfaTIC 360° Immersive Digital Knowledge Fair, an event organized by the CTA and proudly supported by our Foundation.

From a 3D virtual environment, teachers, students, and rural communities showed the world what it means to learn with creativity, technological appropriation, and a strong sense of territory. It was a fair that broke boundaries without anyone having to leave their village: innovation reached them, and they shared it with everyone.

Through the Spatial platform, visitors entered a fully immersive space where they:

  • Explored virtual stands created by participating groups.
  • Spoke with exhibitors and learned in depth about their processes.
  • Voted for the most outstanding projects.
  • Attended keynote conferences on educational innovation and the transformative power of technology.

Each stand was a world of its own:
🎮 Educational video games
📱 Applications created by students
🎥 Videos and digital content
✏️ Prototypes made with 3D pens
A display of talent and technological appropriation that made it clear that rural communities also innovate, create, and lead

AlfaTIC 360° was not just a fair: it was a major stage for recognition, where the achievements of rural communities were made visible to the entire department. It was also a space for inspiration, demonstrating that digital education—when supported with care, strong partnerships, and the right tools—can transform processes, broaden horizons, and strengthen learning in any territory.

For Fraternidad Medellín, participating in this fair reinforces a profound conviction: technology becomes a tool for equity when it arrives with purpose, support, and real opportunities.

We celebrate the talent of the teachers and students who took part in AlfaTIC, the commitment of the CTA, and above all, the certainty that rural Antioquia is ready to continue exploring, creating, and dreaming in digital format.
