Laura Abigail and Juan Miguel are the first recipients of the Monseñor Armando Santamaría Scholarships, which are being awarded starting this year as a tribute to the life and work of Monseñor.
Laura is part of the Belén Foster Home, where she is recognized as a young woman with strong values and a deep desire for personal and professional growth. She is disciplined, responsible, and a good student with an extraordinary talent for drawing. She enjoys helping others, is respectful, a good classmate, and is known for being humble and kind. She will begin studying Psychology at the María Cano University Foundation.
For his part, Juan Miguel joined Granjas Infantiles Jesús Obrero five years ago and will soon become part of Hogares Infantiles San José. He is a disciplined and honest young man, organized with his schedule and responsibilities, and highly motivated to move forward in life. He will soon begin studying Criminalistics at the Instituto Tecnológico de Antioquia.
Both of them honor the work, legacy, and kindness to the world of Monseñor Armando Santamaría Ortiz.
