The higher education access program has a special focus on young people from municipalities and schools supported by the Foundation, as well as young people from Medellín who maintain a link with the social organizations we support.
In the partner schools, the process begins with a socio-occupational guidance strategy starting in 9th grade, and continues with the opportunity for financial support for tuition and/or living expenses to pursue technical, technological, or university studies.
The program also includes scholarships for young leaders to pursue International Baccalaureate studies at UWC, postgraduate scholarships for teachers and public leaders, and special scholarships for outstanding athletes, musicians, scientists, or researchers who wish to continue their studies in the country or abroad.
As of 2024, 4,588 scholarships have been awarded, not only through the “60 for the 60” fund, but also through the support, over previous years, of organizations with scholarship programs.
15,206 students have participated in socio-occupational guidance processes.
