In every corner of Antioquia—from the mountains of Jardín to the riverbanks of Vigía del Fuerte—there are young people who dream of a better future. Today, 250 of them are seeing that dream begin to come true thanks to the Fraternidad Medellín Fund, which has already awarded 5,434 scholarships to young people full of hope and aspirations for the future.
These scholarships represent more than an educational opportunity; they are a commitment to the holistic development of talented and dedicated youth. Through strategic partnerships with institutions, the reach and impact of this program have continued to expand.
These new scholarship recipients come from 25 municipalities across the department, including Andes, Carepa, El Carmen de Viboral, Ciudad Bolívar, El Peñol, El Retiro, Santuario, Fredonia, Granada, Jericó, La Ceja, Marinilla, Medellín, Rionegro, San Carlos, San Juan de Urabá, San Luis, San Rafael, San Vicente Ferrer, Támesis, Tarso, Titiribí, Venecia, and Vigía del Fuerte. Each of them brings a unique story, marked by resilience and a strong desire to move forward.
Partner educational institutions have joined this effort in different ways, providing not only their support for the initiative but also high-quality learning environments. It is also worth highlighting the support of various institutions and foundations that share the belief that education is the surest path to fulfilling dreams.
Behind every scholarship there is a story of dedication—of families who have fought to provide opportunities for their children, and of young people who have overcome obstacles and who, with this support, can now focus on their studies and on building a promising future.
At the Fundación Fraternidad Medellín, we firmly believe in the transformative power of education. These 250 scholarships are more than a number; they are 250 reasons to continue working toward a more equitable Antioquia, where every young person has the opportunity to achieve their dreams and contribute to the development of their community.
We celebrate and stand alongside these new scholarship recipients on their journey, confident that with their talent and dedication, they will become agents of change and hope for our department.
