At the end of May, we gathered for a very special event with principals, coordinators, teachers, students, and families from the educational institutions that have participated in the Socio-Occupational Guidance Program (OSO), an initiative led by Corporación PAN and funded by Fundación Fraternidad Medellín.
More than a gathering, it was an opportunity to celebrate the stories, lessons, and aspirations that have been shaped over the years. Every conversation, testimony, and shared experience reflected the impact of supporting young people during one of the most important stages of their lives: building their life plans and making decisions about their academic, professional, and personal futures.
During the event, participants were able to recognize the strength of a strategy that has gone far beyond traditional career guidance. The OSO Program has become a bridge between young people and opportunities, providing them with the tools to better understand themselves, identify their talents, explore educational pathways, and prepare for the challenges they will face upon completing their school years.
Hearing from students who are now pursuing their goals with determination, as well as from teachers who have supported them throughout this journey in the classroom, helped reveal the true scope of this initiative. Behind every story are years of collaborative effort, adaptation to local contexts, cooperation among committed stakeholders, and a deep conviction that education transforms lives.
En Fundación Fraternidad Medellín nos sentimos muy orgullosos de haber acompañado a miles de estudiantes y docentes en este recorrido. Este encuentro fue una oportunidad para agradecer, reconocer y celebrar una labor que durante más de 10 años ha contribuido a abrir nuevas posibilidades para los jóvenes, fortaleciendo su capacidad de soñar, decidir y construir un mejor futuro para ellos, sus familias y sus comunidades.
Because when a young person finds a path to shape their future, the future of an entire community is transformed as well.
