Improving the Quality of Education

We believe education is the most effective path to support the development of both municipalities and their people. Through the projects we bring to educational institutions, we are impacting the lives of over 37,000 people. More dreams, more opportunities.

Alliance for Quality and Equitable Education Program

The Alliance for Quality and Equitable Education is an initiative aimed at strengthening the quality of education in Antioquia. By implementing pedagogical models focused on equity and closing learning gaps, it promotes a contextualized, collaborative, and relevant education for local communities. Its central purpose is to improve teaching and learning processes for both students and teachers.

Currently, the Alliance is active in eastern Antioquia with the implementation of the "Let’s All Learn to Read" (ATAL) program. This initiative seeks to reduce learning poverty among basic education students by developing language skills through the phonics method and active teaching methodologies.

ToKando Scholarships is a program that provides access to music education for children and youth in situations of social vulnerability, with the goal of strengthening their artistic and social-emotional skills. Through music, we promote values such as discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, generating a positive impact on their lives and their communities.

Sports Training and Initiation Centers – CIFD

This initiative is implemented in Vigía del Fuerte and its rural districts of Buchadó and San Antonio de Padua. It aims to provide children between the ages of 5 and 15 with an education that integrates values-based training, healthy nutrition, and skill development through physical education.

The program is structured into three stages that cover sports, psychosocial development, health, and nutrition. The Initiation stage (ages 5 to 9) encourages exploration of various sports disciplines for both girls and boys. The Training stage (ages 9 to 10) introduces children to pre-sport games or mini-sports. The Specialization stage (ages 10 to 14) allows children to choose a discipline—soccer, athletics, or volleyball—to focus on. Additionally, the program includes a Talent component, in which 20 outstanding youth are selected from each sport to receive more intensive training, serve as role models in their communities, and represent their territory in local, regional, and departmental competitions.
